PROJECT: Breu

breu · Portuguese for pitch dark

Bring a light.
Bring two friends.

An MMORPG built around 3-player dungeons, with heroes, fighting styles and monsters drawn from Brazilian culture and folklore.

In development.

The Brawler: bare fists, gi top with heavy lapels, amber corda belt, capoeira trousers

Three players. One dungeon. No light to spare.

3

Small parties, big fights

Every dungeon is tuned for a tank, a healer and a damage dealer. Form a room in the lobby, ready up and dive in together.

1

One character, every class

No alts. Switch class and spec out of combat, and your talent builds are remembered for each spec.

BR

Rooted in Brazil

Martial arts, music and the creatures of Brazilian folklore shape the classes, the abilities and what waits in the dark.

The first class

The Brawler

Bare fists, a gi top with heavy lapels and an amber corda belt. Two ways to fight, both built on a five-point bar that fills as you land hits and empties into a finisher.

Tank

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Take the fight to the ground. Collar Grip and Takedown build Grip; at five, choose between an Armbar or recomposing your guard to heal. Pull Guard to taunt, Turtle up when it gets ugly.

  • Takedown
  • Armbar
  • Kimura
  • Closed Guard

Damage

Capoeira

Kicks that flow into each other. Meia Lua and Martelo build Ginga; spend it on a crushing Armada or a lingering Rabo de Arraia. Au to cartwheel out, Roda to turn up the rhythm.

Lanternfall

Simple shapes, flat colour, one hard shadow and a heavy outline. Readable at a glance in the middle of a pull, and built around glowing light sources, because in Breu the dark is the point.
